Meet Dr. John Koberlein

Gentle Dental Care

I enjoy working one-to-one with my patients, and helping each develop optimal oral health and a smile that’s filled with confidence. Every patient has his or her own clinical and personal needs. As a dentist, it’s important that I learn and understand my patients’ expectations and concerns. That’s the only way I can provide them with care that’s right for their needs.

I have been practicing dentistry for more than 25 years. I’m happy with the relationships that have developed with my patients and am glad to be part of their lives. It’s truly a joy to help people attain their best smile and become their friend at the same time. I love that ours is a family-oriented dental practice. Working with people of all ages, and from different backgrounds, keeps my days interesting, challenging, and full.

I feel blessed to use my education and skills to help so many wonderful people.

Education and Continuing Education

For my undergraduate studies, I went to the University of Akron. I then attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. This was followed by a one-year residency in advanced general dentistry.

I am determined to offer my patients a range of leading-edge treatments that work for their situation. In order to exceed their expectations, each year I complete many hours of continuing education. I learn from the leaders in the field, to stay current on new procedures, materials, and technological advances.

Personal Life

I grew up in Springfield Township and now live in Lake Township with my wife of more than 25 years and our dog, Charlie. We have two daughters: our eldest is studying dentistry at Case Western Reserve University and our youngest is a student at Kent State University.

In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, skiing, fishing, and spending time with my family.
